Chinese fortune-telling and western constellation both have a very long history. People believe in them because of their credibility. Also, they have a lot of supporters. According to a recent questionnaire that comparing Chinese fortune-telling with western constellation, the student of National central university prefer the former to the latter. There are seventy percent of students choosing western
constellation. It means that only thirty percent students choose Chinese fortune telling. Nowadays, western constellation gradually replace Chinese fortune-telling to become widely. In addtion, it shows that college students and even the teenagers like constellation analysis more, and the most important reason is the influence of media, their family and friends.
Chinese fortune-telling including animal of Chinese zodiac, feng shui and fortune telling. They are all the wisdom of the ancients of Chinese. Some people choose this because they think China have a very long history, so it must have the credibility and value. On the other hand, the popular western constellation analysis have twelve zodiac to form the sky at night. Every constellation has its period, everyone has its constellation and different personality. It becomes the trend of astrology. Most people think media, friends and family have a great influence on it. The other reason is same as the Chinese fortune-telling, people think a long history makes it more complete. The questionnaire indicates that we are easily influenced on things around our environment.

回覆刪除in fact, both of these didn't have scientific basis and it's just provide us an inexact way to view ourselves. But I agree with your stand point that our favor of eastern zodiac or western constellation is influenced by our friends and family.

回覆刪除HOHO~special topic! I do not believe Chinese teller at all, most of the fortune they predict are not so bright... I think western constellation tell more about our personalities, and that is really different from Chinese fortune teller.
