Why students like western constellation more?
According to a survey with NCU students, western constellation is more popular than Chinese fortune-telling.
There are seventy-one samples in the survey, the proportion of both sexes are in approximately equal amounts. It points out 69% students choose western constellation and only 31% ones prefer Chinese fortune-telling. The popularity of western constellation obviously surpasses the other one.
Chinese fortune-telling including animal of Chinese zodiac, feng shui and fortune telling. They are all the wisdom of the ancients of Chinese. Some students choose this because they think China have a very long history, so it must have the credibility and value. The second reason is that some of these students have learned Chinese fortune-telling.
On the other hand, the popular western constellation analysis have twelve zodiacs to form the sky at night. Every constellation has its period, everyone has its constellation and different personality. It becomes the trend of astrology. Most students believe media, friends and family have a great influence on it. The other reason is same as the Chinese fortune-telling, people think a long history makes it more complete.
There is another option that NCU students think whether western constellation or Chinese fortune-telling can look into the future. The result indicates that general is mostly choosed, even some students are disagree about the option. It means students are not superstitious about both. They don't believe both of these can tell the future.
